Patient visiting and Parcels to Patients service

Patient visiting and our Parcels to Patients service is provided via the Welcome Hub based in the main atrium at Walsall Manor Hospital. The service remains open 8am-7pm, seven days a week.

Please note that on Christmas day, the service will operate from 8am-2pm only. All other days will operate as normal.

Patient visiting

The Welcome Hub should be the contact to discuss and arrange compassionate visiting ONLY and video call (virtual visiting) appointments (if criteria applies for compassionate visiting and following discussion with the ward area).

Parcels to Patients

‘Parcels to Patients’ is a service the trust’s Patient Experience team provides to ensure people have their personal belongings while staying at Walsall Manor Hospital.

Families and friends of patients are able to book a slot to deliver a parcel of personal belongings, which will then be taken to the patient staying in hospital. It has been a real benefit during the Covid-19 pandemic as visiting restrictions remain in place in Walsall as in hospitals across the country.
