The Community-based Osteoporosis Service works alongside Walsall Manor Hospital to identify and support people over the age of 50 who have had a fracture. Our main goal is to assess whether you’re at risk of future fractures or osteoporosis.
We provide a comprehensive bone health assessment and, if needed, we can arrange a bone densitometry scan to measure your bone density. We work closely with your GP to diagnose and manage osteoporosis, helping to reduce your risk and keep your bones healthy.
Our service is located at Short Heath Clinic.
Osteoporosis Service Short Heath Clinic Bloxwich Road North Short Heath Willenhall WV12 5PR
We are open from 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.
Referrals to our service are typically made by GPs or other health and social care professionals. They can send us a letter, a generic referral form, or other relevant documents.
In some cases, we do accept self-referrals. If you believe you are at risk, you can contact us to find out if this is the right pathway for you.
If you have any questions, you can contact our service lead or the clinic directly.
