The Colorectal Specialist Nurses provide support for patients undergoing surgery, whether this is for cancer or non-cancerous conditions. We provide enhanced recovery information, emotional and physical support for patients who have had, or are having, a new stoma or bowel surgery. We are also available to support patients undergoing treatments such as chemotherapy/ radiotherapy who are known to the team. We can review patients who are inpatients in the hospital who have a stoma. We also have a straight to test Nurse-led service, following referral from a GP.
