Blog from our interim Deputy Chief Executive and Chief Nurse

I hope you’ve all had an enjoyable Christmas and found time to rest and spend time with loved ones. It is really important to relax and have time to recharge your batteries away from the workplace.

The year 2021 will remembered as a particularly challenging year for everyone due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the impact it has had on all of us.

I am really proud of how the nursing services at RWT and WHT have responded. We continue to recruit and invest, making improvements, and I thank you for your enthusiasm and support.

During the last 12 months, the partnership between our organisations has strengthened, with more collaborative working and closer relationships to ensure increased knowledge and better working practices.

As we prepare for the new year, it is important we take advantage of the vaccinations and booster jabs to keep all of us safe.

We cannot be complacent; staff must continue to test as per guidance in order to keep themselves, colleagues and our patients safe.

I look forward to working with you all in 2022 and wish you and your loved ones a happy, prosperous new year.

Take care,

Ann-Marie
