After 15 years’ service, Medical Secretary Moira Folland is retiring today and looking forward to a well-deserved rest.
Moira did secretarial training in college when she left school and has worked in the field ever since.
The grandmother-of-five said: “The highlight of my career has been working with my Trauma and Orthopaedic Team, they have all been so great.”
When asked what she will miss, Moira, aged 66, said: “I will definitely miss the people the most – all the colleagues and people I’ve met along the years, some of whom have gone.”
Her colleagues said: “Moira will be massively missed. She is the knowledge of the office. We hope she has a happy and healthy retirement.”
During her retirement she has a lot of plans with her husband including travelling, gardening and spending time with the family.
Moira added: “I will be taking each day as it comes and living life to the full.”
