Meet our first Christmas Day baby!

Congratulations to Zaneta Kovacova and Jaroslav Cina who are the proud parents of Walsall Manor Hospital’s first Christmas Day 2019 baby.

Little Santiago came into the world at 8.09am this morning weighing 5 pounds and 14 ounces.

“He wasn’t due until 14 January but I had a feeling he’d come on Christmas Day,” said his proud father, aged 32.

Mum Zaneta, 23, said: “We had talked about names and while Jaroslav liked Santiago I wasn’t so sure but as he’s arrived today it does seem to suit him!”

And Santiago’s five-year-old sister Kiara has already been on the phone asking when she can meet the new arrival.
