The Walsall Healthcare Community Continence Service is a nurse-led team providing a holistic approach to the assessment, advice, treatment, and management of bladder, bowel, and other continence-related issues. We serve a wide range of clients, from children to adults, offering specialised care tailored to individual needs. Our service also supports other healthcare professionals by developing and delivering training on topics such as urinary catheterisation and providing up-to-date policies and protocols to ensure the highest standards of care. We also manage a home delivery service for containment aids for clients who have been assessed as needing them.
Our Community Continence nurses are based within the community locality teams across the borough. We provide care at various locations to suit our patients’ needs, including primary care clinics, in the patient’s own home if they are housebound, and within residential and nursing homes. Our main office is located at:
Blakenall Village Centre 79 Thames Road Walsall West Midlands WS3 1LZ
Access to the Community Continence Service is by referral. Patients can be referred to us directly by healthcare professionals via email to the community nursing locality teams.
Hours of Operation: The service operates from Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.
