Gynaecology

What we do

The Gynaecology service provides a comprehensive range of care for women, from general consultations to specialised treatments. Our dedicated team of nine consultants, many with special interests, ensures that patients receive expert care. Our services include:

  • Managing common conditions: We provide care for menstrual disorders, pelvic prolapses, and infertility.
  • Sub-specialities: We have dedicated clinics for various conditions, including Urogynaecology for urinary incontinence, Colposcopy for abnormal smears, and a Gynaecology Oncology rapid access clinic for suspected cancers.
  • One-stop clinics: These clinics are designed for patients with long-standing, non-urgent issues like heavy periods or pelvic pain, as well as for those with ovarian cysts, uterine fibroids, endometriosis, and more.
  • Treatments: We offer a variety of in-clinic procedures, such as Mirena IUS/IUCD insertion or removal, endometrial ablation, hysteroscopy, and the removal of polyps and small fibroids.

We also have Clinical Nurse Specialists who run their own clinics, providing specialised support in colposcopy, urogynaecology, and gynaecology oncology.
