The Paediatrics department at Walsall Healthcare NHS Trust provides a wide range of medical care for children and young people, from birth up to their 18th birthday. Our inpatient ward and Paediatric Assessment Unit are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The opening times for our outpatient clinics may vary, but they generally operate during standard weekday hours.
Children and young people are typically referred to our Paediatrics service by their GP, a midwife, a health visitor, or another healthcare professional. For urgent cases, you can access the Paediatric Assessment Unit through the Emergency Department.

The Children’s Outpatient Service is situated on route 123 on the first floor of Walsall Manor Hospital The service currently see children for first and follow up appointments, as well as pre-op assessments. Consultant paediatricians work as part of a team of professionals including Clinical Nurse Specialists to provide a range of speciality clinics including general, diabetes and endocrinology, gastroenterology, asthma, allergy, epilepsy and cardiology.
