What We Do

Our Clinical Health Psychology service provides psychological support to people who are struggling with the emotional and mental impact of a physical health condition. We help you with difficulties that may arise from a long-term illness, such as:

  • Anxiety and fear
  • Depression and low mood
  • Anger and frustration
  • Motivation issues
  • Problems with adjustment
  • Changes in thinking and behaviour

We work with people who have a range of conditions, including stroke, cancer, chronic pain, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, HIV, and Coronary Heart Disease, among others. Our goal is to help you manage the psychological and social aspects of your physical health to improve your overall wellbeing and quality of life.


Where We Are Based

Our service operates from multiple locations across Walsall to make it easier for you to access care.

  • Darlaston Health Centre: Pinfold Street, Wednesbury
  • Manor Hospital: Moat Road, Walsall
  • Short Heath Health Centre: Bloxwich Road North, Willenhall
  • Palliative Care Centre: Goscote Lane, Walsall

We are open from Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 6:00 pm.


How to Access the Service

To access our service, you must be referred by a healthcare professional. We accept referrals from:

  • GPs
  • The Stroke Service
  • Cancer Services
  • Community Neurological Rehabilitation Team
  • Pain Clinic
  • HIV Service
