Surgical Daycase Centre

What We Do

The Surgical Daycase Centre at Walsall Manor Hospital provides a dedicated space for patients undergoing day surgery. We aim to make your visit as smooth and comfortable as possible. On the day of your operation, you will be asked to come to our reception at the time specified in your admission letter.

Once you arrive, our team will carry out all the necessary safety checks with a nurse, anaesthetist, and surgeon. If needed, we may also perform additional blood tests or X-rays.

A relative, friend or carer is welcome to stay with you while you’re in the centre. We offer a comfortable waiting area with sofas, a TV, books, and magazines. Please note that patients may be with us for up to five hours, depending on the procedure.

We understand that you may have questions about your privacy and dignity during the operation. Please be assured that our theatre staff will maintain and respect your dignity at all times. If you have any concerns, you can speak to a member of our team before your procedure.
