The Dietetics department at Walsall Healthcare NHS Trust provides a comprehensive service for both inpatients and outpatients, offering expert nutritional advice and support. Our team of dietitians plays a crucial role in patient care by creating personalised nutritional plans to manage and treat a wide range of health conditions. This includes supporting patients with diabetes, malnutrition, digestive disorders, food allergies, and managing weight-related issues. We work closely with other healthcare professionals, such as doctors, nurses, and speech and language therapists, to ensure a holistic approach to patient care. We also offer group education sessions to empower patients with the knowledge and skills they need to make positive dietary changes for their long-term health.
Our services are delivered across several locations to best serve our patients. Our main outpatient clinics are held at Walsall Manor Hospital. We also provide inpatient services across the hospital and offer community-based clinics and home visits for those who are unable to travel.
