Urology

What We Do

The Urology team at Walsall Healthcare NHS Trust specialises in diagnosing and treating a wide range of conditions and diseases affecting the male genito-urinary tract and the female urinary tract. We help patients with problems related to their kidneys, ureters, bladder, urethra, prostate, and genitalia.

Our services include:

  • Kidney Stones: We offer a variety of treatments, including using a holmium laser and flexible telescopes to remove kidney stones.
  • Kidney and Bladder Cancer: We provide surgery to remove cancers in the kidneys and bladder.
  • Prostate Surgery: We use state-of-the-art bipolar resection to treat prostate conditions, which allows us to discharge patients the day after surgery. We plan to increase the use of laser surgery to reduce hospital stays and help you recover more quickly.
  • Incontinence: We offer treatments like bulking injections or Botox into the bladder.
  • Outpatient Services: We provide day-case surgery for diagnostic camera examinations of the bladder (flexible cystoscopy).

Our team consists of four consultant urological surgeons, a specialist doctor, clinical nurse specialists, and other support staff.
