Advance Clinical Practitioners
What we do
You may be reviewed by the Advanced Clinical Practitioners (ACP) in the Oncology team. These are experienced senior nurses, who have undertaken further training to work at the same level as a senior doctor. ACP can review you independently, straight from a GP referral, and help diagnose your cancer by assessing you and requesting scans, blood tests or biopsies. They can interpret results, plan your treatment and care, prescribed medication, and refer you to specialists as required, working alongside your Oncologist.
