Every patient receives different treatment based on their cancer diagnosis, this may be chemotherapy, immunotherapy or hormone treatment, patients will also attend the unit to have line flushes, have bloods taken, be weighed and sometimes to collect prescriptions and tablets. Our Consultant Oncologist’s attend from Queen Hospital on a weekly basis and attend MDT and have outpatient’s clinics within the hospital.
The Chemotherapy Unit is located at Walsall Manor Hospitals, Outpatient and Day Case Centre on Route 106 – This is where your treatment will take place, it comprises of three treatment areas including the main treatment room which can take 10 patients there are three further side rooms which take two patients each and a clinic room where procedures take place.
